You have a proven track record in project management, particularly in technology or embedded systems, where you've successfully coordinated complex projects from inception to completion. Your experience includes managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including engineering teams and external partners, ensuring that all project aspects align with customer expectations and technical requirements. You thrive in a remote work environment and are comfortable collaborating with teams across different time zones. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate project goals and updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are adaptable and can think critically to solve problems that arise during project execution. You understand the nuances of working with open-source software and are passionate about the impact it has on various industries.
Desirable
Experience in the IoT or robotics sectors would be a significant advantage, as would familiarity with Ubuntu or other Linux-based operating systems. A background in working with silicon vendors, OEMs, or ODMs will help you navigate the complexities of project delivery in this role. You are proactive in seeking out new skills and knowledge, particularly in emerging technologies that can enhance project outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and completion of large, complex customer-facing projects within Canonicalβs Devices business. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your role will involve acting as the primary delivery liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and customers, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure project success. You will manage the delivery of Ubuntu images across a wide variety of devices, including robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, customers, and partners, including silicon vendors and OEMs. You will also be expected to report on project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Your ability to think differently and work smarter will be essential as you navigate the challenges of project management in a fast-paced environment.
