You have a strong background in IT operations automation and a passion for Linux β€” your experience with Infrastructure as Code has equipped you to drive operations automation to the next level. You thrive in a remote work environment and enjoy collaborating with a diverse team of professionals across the globe. Your technical expertise allows you to tackle complex challenges and implement effective solutions that enhance service reliability.

You are familiar with GitOps practices and understand how to leverage them to streamline deployment processes β€” your ability to automate workflows ensures that services run smoothly and efficiently. You have a proactive mindset and are always looking for ways to improve existing systems and processes. Your communication skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on strategy and execution.

What you'll do

As a Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer at Canonical, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all of Canonical’s IT production services β€” your role will involve running services used by over 60 million Ubuntu users. You will drive operations automation in both private and public cloud environments, utilizing your expertise to enhance service reliability and performance. You will collaborate with other engineers to implement best practices in automation and infrastructure management, ensuring that systems are resilient and scalable.

You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your work will directly impact the success of Canonical's IT services, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies. You will participate in team meetings and strategy sessions, sharing your insights and collaborating with colleagues to align on goals and objectives.
