What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the Information Systems team at Canonical, ensuring the smooth operation of services utilized by over 60 million Ubuntu users. You will lead initiatives to pioneer new approaches to large-scale IS, focusing on infrastructure as code and next-generation model-driven operations. Your responsibilities will include managing team dynamics, aligning strategies, and executing projects that enhance Canonical's managed application service offerings.
You will be tasked with developing and implementing best practices for devops and gitops, ensuring that your team is equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency. Your role will involve mentoring team members, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring that they are engaged and motivated.
