Overview
Careem is seeking a Senior Data Scientist II to drive AI transformation for their Everything App. You'll leverage data to optimize user experiences and decision-making, utilizing skills in Python, SQL, and Spark. This role is based in Dubai.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on applying AI to solve complex problems. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, while your familiarity with Spark and Hive enables you to build scalable data processing pipelines. You understand the importance of data-driven decision-making and are passionate about leveraging data to enhance user experiences. Your experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau equips you to visualize data insights and communicate findings to stakeholders clearly. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive impactful projects.
Desirable
Experience with geospatial data processing is a plus, as it can enhance the personalization strategies for Careem's app. Familiarity with cloud-based data technologies such as Amazon EMR and BigQuery will also be beneficial in this role, as you will be working with large-scale data solutions.
What you'll do
