Lot Driver - ADESA Hoffman Estates • Entry-Level

Who you are

You are at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. You have basic computer skills and are comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. You understand the importance of safety and courtesy while driving and are committed to following auction driving rules.

You are detail-oriented and capable of performing walk-arounds on vehicles to note any damage before moving them. You are also willing to assist customers, including dealers and account representatives, ensuring a smooth experience during vehicle transport.

What you'll do

As a Lot Driver, you will operate motor vehicles on and off the premises, supporting auction activities by safely moving, staging, and parking vehicles in designated areas. You will verify the VIN of cars being picked up or delivered and ensure they are lined up and parked in the correct order as directed by your supervisor. On sale days, you will drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes, demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles.

You will also be responsible for basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as inflating tires, jump-starting vehicles, and filling gas tanks when necessary. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of vehicles for the car auction, and you will work closely with the Lot Manager and Team Leader to ensure all operations run smoothly.
