Overview

Carvana is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to oversee multiple reconditioning lines and ensure production metrics are met. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in operations management, ideally with experience overseeing production lines or similar environments. Your leadership skills shine as you guide teams to meet production targets and improve efficiency. You are adept at identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions, ensuring that operations run smoothly even in the absence of senior management. You embody the values of teamwork and communication, fostering a positive work environment on the shop floor. Your commitment to safety and compliance is unwavering, as you uphold all operational standards and guidelines.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee multiple reconditioning lines within the Inspection & Reconditioning Center, planning production for full working shifts. You will manage facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality. Your ability to quickly identify bottlenecks will be crucial in maintaining site throughput and efficiency. You will conduct root cause analyses and develop action plans in collaboration with the site leadership team. Weekly performance reviews with senior leadership will be part of your responsibilities, where you will report on performance versus targets and discuss challenges and countermeasures. You will guide daily site manager huddles to set the tone and priorities for the day. Additionally, you will aid in executing Continuous Improvement projects and support the growth and development of your team members through regular feedback and development plans.
