Cellares is hiring a Director, Facilities Engineering to oversee the management and operations of facilities in compliance with GMP and EHS standards. You'll lead maintenance and capital expansion projects in South San Francisco.

Who you are
You are an innovative and highly motivated leader with extensive experience in facilities engineering, particularly within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. You have a strong background in cGMP operations and understand the complexities of maintaining cleanroom environments and laboratory facilities. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you thrive in multidisciplinary settings, working closely with scientists, researchers, and engineers to develop effective solutions. You are driven and self-sufficient, enjoying the challenges that come with a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Your ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering continuous improvement is a key strength.
Desirable
Experience in managing capital expansion projects and a solid understanding of EHS standards will set you apart. Familiarity with utility systems such as HVAC and lab equipment is also beneficial. You should be comfortable interfacing across various departments to achieve the best outcomes for facility operations.
What you'll do
As the Director of Facilities Engineering, you will be responsible for the management, operations, and maintenance of all facilities and supporting systems at Cellares. This includes overseeing office spaces, cGMP cleanroom suites, QC laboratories, and warehouse utility systems. You will lead the maintenance and calibration program, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and in compliance with GMP standards. Your role will also involve managing capital expansion projects, including facility buildouts, to support the growth of cell therapy operations. You will provide vision and leadership to ensure reliable facility operations and drive continuous improvement processes that align with the company's mission. Your ability to interface with various teams will be crucial in developing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
