You have extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on building resilient and scalable systems. Your background includes applying advanced software engineering principles to enhance system reliability and operational excellence. You are skilled in developing and enforcing SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets, ensuring that reliability is a core aspect of development processes. You possess a deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and have a proven track record of mentoring and providing technical leadership to teams.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineering teams to drive observability and automation. Your technical expertise allows you to perform deep analysis during high-priority incidents, and you are committed to continuously improving detection and response mechanisms. Desirable

What you'll do

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Celonis, you will lead reliability efforts for a fleet of over 80 FedRAMP-compliant microservices running on Kubernetes. You will apply SRE principles to drive system reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across the organization. Your role will involve developing and enforcing service level objectives and agreements, ensuring that reliability is prioritized in all development efforts.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to enhance observability and automate processes, significantly reducing manual toil. Your responsibilities will include owning high-priority application incident escalations, performing deep technical analysis, and ensuring restoration within defined SLOs. You will continuously improve detection and response mechanisms, contributing to a culture of reliability and excellence.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will provide mentorship and technical leadership across the SRE and engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. You will engineer solutions that enhance the availability, latency, and performance of production services, ensuring that Celonis remains a leader in Process Intelligence technology.
