Overview
CFGI is hiring a Manager of Tax Accounting and Compliance to prepare and review global tax provision computations and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of ASC 740 and tax law, along with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and/or Big-4 public accounting, with a solid understanding of tax accounting theory and compliance rules. Your educational background includes a relevant college degree, and you may hold a CPA or MST, which is desirable for this role. You are detail-oriented and possess strong research and analytical skills, allowing you to navigate complex tax issues effectively. Excellent organizational skills enable you to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while your communication skills help you build relationships with clients and team members alike.
You are a solid team player who enjoys mentoring junior team members and fostering their professional development. Your self-confidence and proactive approach make you a valuable asset in a flexible work environment. You are willing to travel to local client sites, demonstrating your commitment to client service and collaboration.
What you'll do
As the Manager of Tax Accounting and Compliance, you will assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 for multiple clients. You will prepare stand-alone and consolidated federal and state βC-Corpβ income tax returns using tax return software, contributing to the overall tax strategy of the firm. Your role will involve performing tax research on various federal, state, and international tax issues, preparing tax memoranda to support your findings. You will work closely with clients on-site as part of a dedicated tax team, establishing strong relationships with both internal and external tax personnel.
You will also be involved in planning and executing special projects, providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise in tax compliance. Your responsibilities will include preparing quarterly and yearly tax provision and tax return work-paper support, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. You will report directly to the Tax Director of Tax Accounting and Compliance, gaining significant visibility within the organization and contributing to the overall success of the tax department.
