You have over five years of hands-on experience in developing embedded firmware for power control applications β your expertise in power electronics allows you to design and implement robust firmware solutions that meet industry standards. You are skilled in working with cross-functional teams and have a strong understanding of the electric vehicle ecosystem, which enables you to contribute effectively to the development of innovative charging solutions. Your leadership experience has equipped you with the ability to mentor and guide engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
You possess a deep understanding of embedded systems and firmware development β your technical skills include proficiency in programming languages relevant to embedded systems, as well as familiarity with hardware design and integration. You are adept at troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing firmware performance, ensuring that the products you develop are reliable and efficient. Your passion for electric mobility drives you to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
You are a strong communicator who can articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders β your ability to collaborate with various teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, ensures that projects are completed successfully and on time. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the opportunity to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle charging industry.
Desirable

What you'll do
As the Senior Engineering Manager for Power Electronics Firmware at ChargePoint, you will lead a team of engineers in the development of embedded firmware for our power control applications. You will oversee the entire firmware development lifecycle, from initial design through testing and deployment, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Your role will involve collaborating closely with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with our charging solutions, optimizing performance and reliability.
You will be responsible for setting technical direction and establishing best practices for firmware development β your leadership will guide the team in adopting new technologies and methodologies that enhance our product offerings. You will also mentor and support the professional growth of your team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
In addition to technical leadership, you will engage with cross-functional teams to align product development with market needs and customer expectations β your insights will help shape the strategic direction of our product roadmap. You will participate in regular project reviews and provide updates to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the development process.
