Who you are

You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on optimizing hybrid cloud environments. Your experience with AWS and bare metal infrastructure allows you to securely run sandboxed code, ensuring application performance and reliability. You are familiar with monitoring tools and practices, including OpenTelemetry and Monitoring as Code, which are essential for unifying performance metrics. Your technical skills include proficiency in languages such as TypeScript and Golang, as well as experience with databases like PostgreSQL and ClickHouse. You thrive in a remote-first, async-first environment and are comfortable collaborating with a distributed team.

Desirable

Experience with DevTool SaaS products is a plus, as is familiarity with Agile methodologies. You understand the importance of good documentation and are committed to maintaining high standards in product quality. What you'll do

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Checkly, you will be responsible for evolving and optimizing our hybrid AWS and bare metal infrastructure. You will work closely with a team of highly skilled engineers to ensure that our monitoring platform remains the best in the industry. Your role will involve implementing best practices for security and performance, as well as collaborating with product teams to influence the product roadmap. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
