Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale — you've worked on projects that required you to influence architecture and maintain code health. Your experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks has equipped you with the skills to design and implement robust APIs that enhance user experience.
You have a solid understanding of transactional databases and caching systems — you appreciate the importance of maintainable and well-tested code, and you are always looking for opportunities to improve system reliability and scalability. Your startup experience has given you a unique perspective on the challenges and rewards of building products from the ground up.
What you'll do
At Chime, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and refactoring backend implementations of new and existing consumer product features. You'll collaborate closely with the mobile team to create strong, resilient APIs that propel our mobile app forward. Your role will involve working with multi-functional teams to understand member struggles and devise creative solutions that enhance our banking platform.
You will proactively identify opportunities for improving the reliability and scalability of our systems, ensuring that we uphold high technical standards across the engineering team. Your contributions will directly impact the ongoing health of our code and the overall user experience for our members.
What we offer
Chime offers a competitive base salary starting at $133,000 and going up to $184,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus and a competitive equity package, along with comprehensive benefits.
