Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience developing software in a production environment at scale — you've owned projects from end-to-end and understand the intricacies of maintaining high-quality code. Your expertise includes working with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks, allowing you to design and implement robust APIs that power consumer-facing features. You have experience with transactional databases and caching systems, which helps you optimize performance and reliability in your applications. You appreciate maintainable and well-tested code, knowing that it leads to better long-term outcomes for both the team and the users. Your background may include startup experience, which has equipped you with the agility to adapt and thrive in fast-paced environments. You are proactive in finding opportunities for improving system reliability and scalability, and you enjoy collaborating with multi-functional teams to create innovative solutions for member challenges.
What you'll do

You will work closely with the mobile team to build strong, resilient APIs that enhance the mobile app experience. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to understand member struggles and coming up with creative solutions to address them. You will proactively identify opportunities for improving the reliability and scalability of our systems, ensuring that our platform can handle increasing user demands. Additionally, you will work across the engineering team to uphold high technical standards and contribute to the overall health of the codebase. Your role will involve influencing architecture decisions and maintaining ongoing health through regular code reviews and testing practices.
