You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building scalable and resilient systems. Your expertise in Go allows you to deliver complex projects effectively, and you have a strong understanding of event streaming architectures. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to address potential failure scenarios and enhance service resilience.
You are passionate about security and understand the importance of implementing robust security features to build trust with users. Your experience in developing tools, libraries, and services positions you well to solve cross-cutting problems that arise in a financial platform. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring that the platform is fast, available, secure, and auditable.
Desirable
Experience with cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures is a plus. Familiarity with financial services or platforms will help you understand the unique challenges faced in this domain. What you'll do
In this role, you will be instrumental in building the new financial platform for Chime, which will power the most important financial activities for millions of members. You will collaborate with various teams to assess and address potential failure scenarios, ensuring that the platform remains resilient and reliable.
Your main responsibility will be to develop a robust event streaming infrastructure that can effectively process a large volume of events. You will work closely with the product security team to implement essential security features, ensuring that the platform meets the highest standards of trust and reliability.
You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the platform, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your role will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying tools and services that solve complex problems across the organization.
What we offer
Chime offers a competitive base salary starting at $157,590 and going up to $218,900, along with eligibility for bonuses and a competitive equity package. You will be part of a high-visibility team that plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Chime.
