Backend Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend development experience, particularly in building and maintaining web applications. Your expertise in Java and Spring Boot allows you to create scalable solutions that meet business challenges effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and have a strong understanding of messaging patterns, including JMS and Pub/Sub.

Your experience includes working with Hibernate 5+ and Spring Data, which enables you to manage data persistence efficiently. You are familiar with legacy code and have a knack for optimizing existing systems. Additionally, you have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Podman, which enhances your ability to deploy applications seamlessly.

You are also knowledgeable about caching strategies, both local and distributed, which helps improve application performance. While not mandatory, familiarity with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps build pipelines is a plus, as is experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot 4. You understand the importance of modern development practices and are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend solutions for CI&T's media sector project. You will collaborate closely with Tech Leaders from the client side, ensuring that the solutions you create align with their business objectives. Your role will involve writing clean, efficient code and participating in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging to resolve any issues that arise in the development process. As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to the overall architecture and design of the applications, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable. Your ability to communicate effectively in English will be crucial as you work with international teams and stakeholders.
