Backend Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in backend development, particularly in building scalable and high-performance systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring Boot allows you to design and implement robust APIs that handle complex payment processing tasks. You are familiar with both relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and understand how to optimize them for performance.

You have a solid understanding of DevSecOps practices and are experienced in implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes. Your knowledge of Kubernetes enables you to manage containerized applications effectively, ensuring high availability and scalability. You are also well-versed in RESTful API design and have experience with API versioning and security practices, including OAuth2 and JWT.

Your ability to work autonomously and support team members makes you a valuable asset in collaborative environments. You are proactive in identifying and resolving complex issues in distributed systems, and you have a keen interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance development workflows.

Desirable

Familiarity with monitoring tools like AppInsights and experience in automating tests for components and contracts would be advantageous. Knowledge of Next.js or React is a plus, as is experience in processing large volumes of events through streaming technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key player in the digital transformation of one of the largest companies in the cosmetics industry. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of a new project focused on processing customer payments through various methods, including credit cards, bank slips, and Pix. You will ensure that the code delivered is of the highest quality, with minimal defects, by applying best practices and rigorous testing methodologies.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define project requirements and deliver features that meet customer needs. Your role will also involve mentoring junior developers, sharing your knowledge of best practices in API design and cloud architecture.

As you work on this project, you will have the opportunity to implement innovative solutions that leverage AI and machine learning to improve user experiences and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for maintaining documentation and ensuring that all development processes align with industry standards and security protocols.
