Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in backend development, particularly with Java and Spring Boot, and you understand the intricacies of building scalable applications. Your expertise in developing APIs and microservices has equipped you with the skills to handle complex integrations and ensure high performance in production environments.

You are familiar with various database systems, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2, and you know how to optimize queries and manage data effectively. Your experience with messaging systems like Kafka allows you to design robust data pipelines that enhance application performance.

You have a solid understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and you are comfortable deploying applications in cloud environments. Your knowledge of Docker and containerization practices enables you to streamline development workflows and improve deployment processes.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working within multidisciplinary teams. You are proactive in conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the team continuously improves.

Desirable

Familiarity with Drools is a plus, as it can enhance your ability to implement business rules in applications. You are also open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving tech landscape.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at CI&T, you will lead a squad responsible for developing and testing functionalities, APIs, and integrations for a new product aimed at enhancing the financial journey of back-office teams. You will participate in daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include developing high-quality code, conducting thorough testing, and implementing fixes for any defects that arise. You will manage code versions and guide the team on technical aspects, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the project goals.

You will also support technical refinements and contribute to the design of solutions that meet client needs. Your role will be pivotal in driving the technical direction of the project and ensuring that the team delivers impactful results.
