You have over 7 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in testing, CI/CD, deployment, or reliability engineering. You regularly write code and are comfortable discussing technical topics with your peers. Your experience has equipped you with the ability to solve real problems and share your insights with the broader engineering community.
You are a natural communicator who enjoys building relationships within engineering communities. You understand the importance of authenticity in your content and can engage with timely industry topics in a meaningful way. Your technical expertise allows you to contribute to real features while keeping your content grounded in reality.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with marketing to ensure that your technical insights reach the right audience at the right time. You are proactive and take initiative, finding opportunities to represent CircleCI in public forums and amplifying your voice within the community.
Desirable
Experience with AI technologies or a passion for exploring AI-powered capabilities would be a plus. Familiarity with various engineering communities and the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will spend approximately 75% of your time focused on content and community engagement. You will write blog posts, tutorials, and analyses that resonate with engineers, ensuring that your content is both informative and engaging. Building relationships in 3-5 engineering communities will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to share your perspective and insights.
You will also collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate the timing of your content releases, ensuring that they align with broader marketing strategies without sacrificing authenticity. Your technical work will comprise about 25% of your time, where you will contribute to CircleCI's AI team on features that are shipped to production. You will be the first user of new AI-powered capabilities, keeping your technical skills sharp and relevant.
You will have the autonomy to chase interesting problems and the support to amplify your voice within the engineering community. Representing CircleCI with good judgment in public forums will be essential, as will finding opportunities to act on your insights without waiting for permission.
