Who you are

You have over 6 years of experience building distributed systems and platform infrastructure — you've successfully designed and implemented scalable platforms that support complex workflows. Your strong expertise in database design and query optimization allows you to manage data at scale effectively.

You are proficient in modern technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js — your experience includes building developer-facing infrastructure like APIs and SDKs. You have a pragmatic approach to technical decision-making, balancing technical excellence with business impact.

Your operational instincts are sharp, with a focus on monitoring, alerting, debugging, and incident response — you understand the importance of observability and performance standards as systems scale. Excellent communication skills enable you to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences, fostering collaboration across teams.

Having startup experience is a plus — you've built products from the ground up or scaled through hypergrowth phases. Bonus points if you have experience with AI/ML infrastructure, LLM APIs, or vector databases, as well as contributions to open source projects or technical writing that demonstrate your expertise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build core platform systems, including data pipelines, integration frameworks, and API infrastructure — your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of Clarify's AI-native CRM. You will design scalable data models and storage strategies that cater to complex CRM workflows and AI capabilities.

You will establish observability, monitoring, and performance standards as the company scales to thousands of customers — your input will be crucial in creating platform standards such as API patterns, service design, testing frameworks, and deployment practices. You will own critical technical decisions, including infrastructure choices and architectural patterns, ensuring that the technology selection aligns with the company's strategic goals.

Partnering closely with the founders, you will contribute to the technical strategy, balancing innovation with pragmatic execution — your insights will help shape the future of the platform. You will also mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
