What you'll do

As a Performance Engineer in the Pre-Training team, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of our advanced language models. Your primary focus will be on improving key model training metrics, ensuring high accelerator utilization, and developing robust systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance the overall efficiency of our models. Your role will involve designing and developing training and profiling tools that support our mission of providing efficient language capabilities.

You will also engage in continuous improvement efforts, analyzing performance data to inform your strategies and decisions. By leveraging your expertise in software engineering and machine learning, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that push the boundaries of AI technology.
