What you'll do

As a Principal Engineer at Confluent, you will lead the technical direction for the Tableflow project, focusing on its storage and metadata engines. You will define company-level technical strategies that drive innovation and ensure the scalability and reliability of the platform. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence engineering practices and product strategies, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet the highest standards of performance and availability.

You will be responsible for advancing the core components of Tableflow, overseeing the architecture that supports table materialization and background maintenance. Your leadership will guide the team in making informed decisions that impact the overall success of the Confluent platform. You will also mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement within the team.
