Who you are
You have a strong background in product design, particularly in SaaS or B2B environments, and are adept at tackling complex design projects. With a keen eye for detail, you understand the nuances of user experience and are passionate about creating intuitive designs that enhance user interaction. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside other designers and stakeholders to drive innovative solutions. Your experience includes leading design initiatives and conducting UX research to inform your design decisions. You are comfortable with feedback and are always looking to improve your work through iteration and user testing.
Desirable
Experience with data streaming technologies or familiarity with Apache Kafka would be a plus. You may also have a background in product-led growth strategies, which will help you contribute effectively to the PLG group within Confluent. A portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes will strengthen your application.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead design initiatives for various features of the Confluent Cloud data streaming platform. This includes designing for experiments that promote business growth and optimizing user experiences across the platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that your designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly. Your responsibilities will involve translating complex ideas into user-friendly designs, conducting user research to gather insights, and iterating on designs based on user feedback. You will also participate in design reviews and contribute to the overall design strategy of the product team.
