You have over 4 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly in building large-scale distributed systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring Boot allows you to design and implement high-performance APIs that can handle millions of requests efficiently. You are skilled in diagnosing complex issues and creatively solving problems, ensuring the reliability and performance of the systems you develop.

Your background includes a strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, particularly AWS, and you are proficient in using various tools and frameworks such as Docker, MySQL, Kafka, Redis, and Cassandra. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, which enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Your experience in e-commerce or O2O industries is a plus, as it gives you insights into the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors.

You are adaptable and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to your work. You are passionate about technology and continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge in backend development.

Desirable

Experience in logistics or location-based services development is highly desirable, as it aligns with the core functionalities of the Eats Merchant platform. You are also familiar with agile methodologies and have a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Eats Merchant team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the Eats Merchant service. This includes designing and building core systems that facilitate seamless order processing for thousands of merchants and millions of customers. You will leverage a diverse technology stack, including cloud-native solutions, microservices architecture, and various databases, to create robust and scalable applications.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability and performance of the systems you develop, focusing on delivering a smooth shopping experience for users. You will also participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the team.

In addition, you will be involved in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring that the systems remain operational and efficient. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices, advocating for best practices in software engineering.
