Job Description
Who you are
You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and have over 10 years of experience in database operations and building scalable infrastructure automation. You have extensive experience with MySQL, having utilized it for more than 10 years, and possess over 5 years of experience with NoSQL data stores such as DynamoDB and Cassandra. Your proficiency in Python allows you to develop automation tools and scripts effectively, and you have experience with NewSQL databases like TiDB and Spanner. You are skilled in AWS-based data management technologies and have a solid understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform. Your knowledge extends to CI/CD tools and networking concepts such as load balancing and DNS. You are familiar with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, implement, and operate large-scale database infrastructures, ensuring their automation and scalability. You will build monitoring and logging systems to optimize performance and prevent failures. You will lead migration projects for NewSQL databases and collaborate closely with application development teams, infrastructure teams, and TPMs to improve overall database processes. You will also address operational issues and participate in on-call support as needed. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of Coupang's database systems, supporting the company's mission to enhance customer experiences.
