What you'll do

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead the GO Foundational Systems and Platforms organization, focusing on building and maintaining the systems that support Coupang's inventory management. You will oversee the development of scalable, reliable systems that provide real-time inventory data, ensuring that the company can meet the demands of its rapidly growing customer base. You will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to define the technical roadmap and prioritize initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals. Your role will involve mentoring and developing engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within your team.

You will also be responsible for establishing best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and deployment processes. By leveraging your technical expertise, you will guide architectural decisions and ensure that the systems you build are robust and maintainable.
