Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Fire Safety and Fire Science, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. With a minimum of 8 years of fire prevention experience, you are well-versed in developing and implementing fire protection plans. Your expertise allows you to effectively train and manage employee responses during emergency situations, ensuring safety protocols are followed in fulfillment center operations. You possess a strong understanding of compliance with government policies and internal guidelines, which is crucial for securing planned fulfillment center performance. You are proactive in identifying, assessing, and addressing potential risks during project processes, minimizing risks, and leading troubleshooting efforts when issues arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the fire protection manager, responsible for developing comprehensive fire protection plans tailored to the needs of Coupang's fulfillment centers. You will plan, train, execute, and manage all employee responses during emergency situations, ensuring that safety protocols are effectively communicated and practiced. Monitoring and self-inspection of fire safety equipment will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will create and maintain schedules to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. You will also ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including building, firefighting, and safety standards, while aligning with Coupang's internal guidelines. Your role will involve identifying potential risks throughout project processes, addressing them proactively, and leading troubleshooting efforts when necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
