Crusoe is hiring a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead the design and development of BMS-based automation solutions for data centers. You'll work with technologies like BACnet and Modbus in Cheyenne, WY.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in instrumentation and controls engineering, particularly with Building Management Systems (BMS). Your experience includes leading projects that integrate HVAC, electrical, and monitoring systems, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency. You are skilled in developing intuitive dashboards and operator workflows that simplify complex building and power systems, making them easy to monitor and control.
You possess expertise in automation scripting and have a proven track record of building and maintaining tags, templates, and reporting modules within BMS platforms. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with engineers, contractors, and OEM partners to scope, configure, and deploy BMS projects that utilize protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT.
Your analytical skills enable you to conduct thorough system testing and simulation, validating functionality and operational performance before live deployment. You are adept at leveraging BMS to collect and visualize real-time and historical data, providing valuable insights for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance.
You are committed to optimizing existing BMS user interfaces to enhance the operator experience, reduce alarm fatigue, and facilitate quicker troubleshooting. Your leadership skills shine as you provide actionable dashboards and automated reports to management, ensuring that decision-makers have the information they need at their fingertips.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and development of BMS-based automation and visualization solutions tailored for data center environments. You will ensure that these systems integrate seamlessly with HVAC, electrical, and monitoring infrastructure, driving efficiency and reliability. Your responsibilities will include developing intuitive dashboards and HMIs that simplify the monitoring and control of complex systems.
You will build and maintain automation scripts, tags, templates, and reporting modules within BMS platforms, streamlining commissioning, testing, and operational processes. Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and OEM partners, you will scope, configure, and deploy BMS projects that utilize various communication protocols, ensuring robust and effective system integration.
Conducting system testing and simulation will be a key part of your role, as you validate functionality and operational performance prior to live deployment. You will leverage the BMS to collect and visualize both real-time and historical data, enabling performance insights, fault detection, and predictive maintenance strategies.
