Crusoe is hiring a Manager, Instrument and Controls to lead the design and development of Ignition-based automation solutions for data center systems. You'll work with technologies like BACnet and Modbus in Cheyenne, WY.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in automation and controls, with experience in designing and developing Ignition-based solutions for building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EPMS). Your expertise in integrating HVAC, electrical, and monitoring infrastructure allows you to create intuitive user interfaces that enhance operator workflows. You are skilled in developing automation scripts and reporting modules that streamline operations and improve efficiency.
You possess a collaborative mindset, working effectively with engineers, contractors, and OEM partners to scope and deploy Ignition projects. Your familiarity with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT enables you to ensure seamless integration across systems. You are detail-oriented, conducting thorough system testing and simulations to validate UI functionality and operational performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and development of Ignition-based automation and visualization solutions for data center BMS and EPMS systems. You will be responsible for creating intuitive UI dashboards and operator workflows that simplify the monitoring and control of complex building and power systems. Your work will involve building and maintaining automation scripts, tags, templates, and reporting modules in Ignition to enhance commissioning, testing, and operational processes.
You will collaborate closely with engineers and contractors to scope, configure, and deploy Ignition projects that integrate with various protocols. Conducting system testing and simulation will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that UI functionality and data accuracy meet operational standards prior to live deployment. You will leverage Ignition to collect and visualize real-time and historical data, providing insights for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing existing BMS and EPMS user interfaces to improve operator experience and reduce alarm fatigue. You will provide actionable dashboards and automated reporting to leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency.
