Who you are
You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure management, with at least 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams focused on cost optimization and capacity planning. Your expertise in AWS and Google Cloud Platform allows you to navigate complex cloud environments and drive strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. You possess excellent analytical skills, enabling you to develop metrics and insights that quantify ROI and utilization.
You are a collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, partnering with Infrastructure Engineering, Finance, and Product teams to align capacity plans with business growth objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization ensures transparency and accountability in your initiatives. You are comfortable presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership, helping them make informed investment decisions.
Desirable
Experience with multi-cloud infrastructure optimization and provisioning guardrails is a plus. Familiarity with tools like Terraform and Kubernetes will enhance your ability to implement effective cloud strategies. You are also knowledgeable about financial governance in cloud spending, ensuring that your teams operate within budgetary constraints while maximizing performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and scale programs focused on cost, capacity, and efficiency across Databricks' infrastructure and product lines. You will drive the strategy and execution for multi-cloud infrastructure optimization, ensuring that provisioning guardrails are in place and utilization forecasting is accurate. Your leadership will establish a clear operating rhythm, including monthly and quarterly reviews, forecasts, and dashboards that provide transparency and accountability at every level.
You will develop metrics and insights that quantify ROI, utilization, and efficiency, enabling leadership to make informed investment decisions. Building and scaling cross-functional initiatives such as rightsizing, multi-cloud optimization, reserved capacity planning, and workload placement will be key responsibilities. You will also implement best practices for cloud cost management, ensuring that Databricks operates with predictable cost efficiency across all cloud providers.
