Who you are
You have a strong technical background with experience in engineering governance, security, and privacy practices. You understand how to embed responsible data use into engineering processes and have a proven track record of leading teams in a multi-cloud environment. Your leadership style is collaborative, and you excel at building relationships across various departments to ensure compliance and security are prioritized in product development.
You are a strategic thinker who can design and scale engineering platforms and operating models that enhance security and compliance. You have experience working with senior security engineers and product leaders, and you are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges while maintaining a focus on customer trust and data integrity.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define the company-wide strategy for security and privacy governance architecture at Databricks. You will lead a team of senior security engineers, ensuring that security and compliance are integrated into the core of product development. You will work closely with product and infrastructure leaders to shape foundational governance systems that enable rapid innovation while maintaining high standards of security.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing guardrails that facilitate secure product development across a rapidly growing ecosystem. Your influence will extend across the organization, impacting how Databricks approaches security and privacy in its products and services. You will also be involved in defining metrics and reporting structures to track compliance and security effectiveness.
