Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in finance, particularly in financial analysis, and have navigated the challenges of hyper-growth environments — you understand the intricacies of financial metrics and how they drive business decisions. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to gather and summarize large amounts of data effectively, leading to efficient executive decision-making. You possess a strong executive presence, enabling you to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

You thrive in collaborative environments, nurturing deep, trusted partnerships with various teams including Sales, Finance, Data Science, and IT — you know that the best solutions come from working together and leveraging diverse expertise. Your problem-solving approach is rooted in first-principles thinking, allowing you to tackle new challenges creatively and effectively. You are adept at building and maintaining financial and operational models that provide real-time forecasts for key financial metrics, ensuring that the organization is always informed and prepared.

Desirable

Experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization software to present your findings compellingly. A background in technology or SaaS companies would be beneficial, as it aligns with Databricks' mission and operational style.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end recommendation process for financial strategies, working closely with the GTM team to drive impactful decisions. You will analyze consumption growth drivers and propose solutions that enhance key financial metrics, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. Your role will involve guiding process improvements and standardization efforts, simplifying complex financial processes to enhance efficiency.

You will be responsible for creating easy-to-understand narratives and presentations that communicate your findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. This will require you to distill complex data into actionable insights that can be understood by non-financial team members. You will also mentor junior analysts, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the finance team.

You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about solving the world's toughest data challenges. We provide competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Join us in our mission to empower data teams and make a significant impact in the industry.
