Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building scalable systems and platforms. Your background includes a strong focus on AI and machine learning, and you are comfortable working with open-source projects. You are passionate about collaborating with the AI/ML community and have a deep understanding of the AI/ML development lifecycle, including training, deployment, and monitoring of models.
You possess expertise in Python and are familiar with various AI/ML frameworks and tools. Your experience includes designing integrations with different platforms in the AI/ML ecosystem, and you are adept at ensuring that the latest advancements in AI/ML tooling are accessible to users. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy contributing to community-driven projects.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with AIOps capabilities. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies, and you have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will help you work effectively with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI OSS Ecosystem Team, you will design and implement platform capabilities that support the AI/ML development and productionization lifecycle. This includes tasks such as training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and management of models and agents. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the larger AI/ML community to advance AIOps capabilities and contribute to open-source projects.
You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that the platform integrates seamlessly with various frameworks in the AI/ML ecosystem. Your role will involve staying updated on the latest AI/ML tooling advancements and ensuring that these innovations are made available to Databricksβ customers. You will also participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
