Job Description
Who you are
You have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields and bring over 3 years of experience in backend engineering or site reliability engineering. Your familiarity with Unix/Linux environments allows you to navigate and optimize systems effectively. You possess strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash, enabling you to automate processes and enhance operational workflows. Your knowledge of performance profiling and load testing tools equips you to ensure system reliability and efficiency. You also have exposure to security hardening, access control, or compliance auditing, which is crucial for maintaining system integrity. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus, as it helps in collaborating with diverse teams.
What you'll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Appier, you will manage system deployment, configuration, and release pipelines to ensure smooth operations. You will design and manage automated deployment pipelines, implementing monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies to maintain system reliability. Troubleshooting production incidents and performing root cause analysis will be part of your responsibilities, as well as participating in on-call rotations and leading incident response when required. You will continuously evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies to improve operational workflows, ensuring that our backend services run reliably and efficiently through automation and monitoring.
