Who you are
You have a strong technical background with expertise in one of the language toolchains such as Scala, Rust, or Python β you understand the intricacies of build systems and have experience with Bazel. Your passion for solving developer experience problems drives you to create efficient and effective solutions that enhance productivity.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineers to understand their challenges β your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between development and operational needs. You are pragmatic and focused on delivering results iteratively, ensuring that improvements are both impactful and sustainable.
What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will build and enhance the tools and infrastructure that empower Databricks engineers to work efficiently β your contributions will directly impact the reliability and speed of our development processes. You will focus on creating seamless development environments and IDE integrations that allow engineers to dive into coding without friction.
You will also work on boosting the efficiency of our build systems, ensuring that our largest builds are reliable and fast β your expertise in Bazel will be crucial in making the development loop as quick and painless as possible. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will gather feedback and iterate on solutions that enhance the overall developer experience at Databricks.
