Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in building scalable systems. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to develop robust applications that handle large volumes of data. You are familiar with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and understand how to leverage it for observability solutions. You have experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus, enabling you to create effective dashboards and alerts. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in environments where you can analyze complex systems and improve their reliability. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Desirable
Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus, as it will help you in building efficient search and analytics capabilities for observability data. Familiarity with incident management processes and tools will also be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing observability solutions that provide insights into the health and performance of Databricks' products and infrastructure. You will build the next generation of observability platforms that support billions of active time series and process petabytes of logs daily. Managing infrastructure across nearly a hundred cloud regions will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all Databricks engineers and customers can monitor the reliability of our product. You will work closely with other engineering teams to identify and resolve performance issues, enhancing the overall user experience. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of our services, making a significant difference for our customers.
