Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in closing sales, particularly in field selling within mid-market and enterprise sectors. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of over $1M, with an average deal size of $100k or more. Your ability to prospect effectively and build relationships with large Fortune 1000 companies sets you apart. You possess a deep understanding of customer business needs and can negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI. You are resourceful and can navigate challenges that require creative solutions. Your intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation is a key strength.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while managing an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Developing a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses will be essential as you identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities. You will ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency while handling existing customer expectations and expanding your reach within your assigned territory. Your role will involve demonstrating resourcefulness when faced with challenges and negotiating favorable terms with large commercial enterprises. You will be expected to deliver tailored Datadog solutions that address the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale.
