What you'll do

In this role, you will work closely with our users to define and ship AI-assisted tools that enhance the productivity of Datadog developers. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and data scientists to develop LLM-based agents that autonomously generate tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. Your work will involve prototyping new features, evaluating their effectiveness, and iterating based on user feedback to ensure that the tools you create truly meet the needs of our customers.

You will be responsible for integrating these AI tools with existing Datadog products, such as the IDE extensions, to deliver a CoPilot-like assistant that enhances the coding experience. Your expertise in backend engineering will be crucial as you work on the engineering aspects required to productionize these systems and ensure they operate seamlessly in both production and pre-production environments.

You will stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLM prompting and code editing, applying this knowledge to improve the tools you develop. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our development teams, helping to make all Datadog customers 10x developers.
