Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally with a mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1M, operating with an average deal size of $100k or more. You possess a strong ability to develop a deep comprehension of customers' businesses and can demonstrate a methodology to prospect effectively.
You are resourceful when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions, and you have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. Your experience includes maintaining and building specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts. You understand the importance of negotiating favorable pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. Your responsibilities will include ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency, as well as identifying a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities. You will be focused on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, delivering the appropriate Datadog solution to meet their needs.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that solutions are tailored effectively. Your role will require you to demonstrate strong communication skills, both in negotiating with clients and in collaborating with your colleagues. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, ensuring that Datadog's values are upheld.
