Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally in field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+, handling an average deal size of $100k+. Your ability to prospect and build relationships is second to none, and you understand the nuances of selling to large organizations.
You possess a deep comprehension of customer business needs and can navigate complex sales processes with ease. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to secure favorable pricing and business terms while demonstrating the value and ROI of your solutions. You are resourceful and can tackle challenges that require creative solutions, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales pipeline.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies, running an efficient sales process that aligns with Datadogβs strategic goals. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your focus will be on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, allowing you to deliver the appropriate Datadog solutions.
You will be responsible for negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, ensuring that you sell value and ROI effectively. Handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory will be crucial. You will demonstrate an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation, ensuring that you identify a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities.
