You have extensive experience in legal counsel, particularly in negotiating complex agreements within the SaaS industry. Your background includes a deep understanding of federal and state procurement laws, including FAR/DFARS, and you are well-versed in cybersecurity requirements and compliance obligations. You excel at providing practical and actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring that business goals align with legal frameworks. You are a trusted advisor who can navigate high-stakes negotiations with confidence and clarity, balancing legal risks with business objectives. Your ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Product Legal, sets you apart as a leader in your field.

Desirable

Experience working with public sector customers is a plus, as is familiarity with privacy and data handling regulations. You are proactive in creating scalable processes and templates that enhance efficiency and compliance within the organization. Your expertise in emerging areas such as AI/ML and security will be invaluable as you guide the company’s public sector strategy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead negotiations with U.S. federal and SLED public sector customers, serving as the primary legal advisor to the go-to-market teams. You will counsel internal teams on procurement laws and regulations, ensuring compliance while shaping deal strategies. Your responsibilities will include independently negotiating and closing complex SaaS agreements, exercising keen judgment on risk tradeoffs. You will partner with Product Legal and Security teams to advise on product features and compliance standards relevant to government environments. Additionally, you will create and improve scalable processes that facilitate efficient legal operations across the organization.
