You have a strong background in product design, with experience leading design projects from concept to launch. Your ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear, shippable experiences sets you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Growth teams to explore ideas and define product direction. You understand the importance of balancing speed, clarity, and trust in design, especially when users are making critical financial decisions.

You possess a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, and you are skilled in creating design narratives that resonate with cross-functional teams. Your experience includes conducting discovery work to identify the right problems to solve and framing opportunities that align with business goals. You are comfortable leading design direction for new initiatives that have the potential to become major product lines.

Desirable

Experience with financial products or services is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. You are proficient in design tools such as Figma and have a portfolio that showcases your design process and outcomes.

What you'll do

As the Lead Product Designer at Dave, you will own the end-to-end design process for new products and foundational features. This includes early exploration and concepting through to launch and iteration. You will lead discovery work that helps teams identify the right problems to solve, framing opportunities, testing assumptions, and shaping product direction early in the process. Your role will involve collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to contribute to product strategy, goals, success metrics, roadmaps, and sprint commitments.

You will create clear design narratives that help guide cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on product vision. Your leadership will influence the design culture at Dave, fostering an environment where innovative ideas can flourish. You will also be responsible for iterating on existing features based on user feedback and data, ensuring that the products you design meet the needs of our members effectively.
