Who you are

You have extensive experience as a Broadcast Engineer, with a strong focus on providing technical support for live events and OTT channels. Your in-depth knowledge of broadcast systems and transmission technologies allows you to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during live broadcasts. You are passionate about IP-based media technology and have a solid understanding of the infrastructure that supports the live delivery of video content.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable acting as a central point of technical escalation for both internal and external stakeholders during incidents. Your ability to assign work tasks and support on-shift teams ensures that operations run smoothly, even during high-pressure situations. You are also committed to continual service improvement, actively seeking ways to enhance processes and workflows.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide engineering support to DAZN's playout operation, ensuring the seamless ingest of multiple live events and OTT channels. You will work closely with on-shift teams, assigning tasks and acting as a technical escalation point during incidents. Your responsibilities will include fault finding, documentation, and reporting to drive all aspects of continual service improvement.

You will also be involved in training colleagues to enhance their support capabilities, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared. As a Senior Broadcast Support Engineer, you will work a shift pattern to ensure that high-level support is available 365 days a year. Your expertise in transmission systems, broadcast systems, and encoding technology will be crucial in maintaining the quality and reliability of live broadcasts.
