You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and machine learning engineers. Your strong communication skills allow you to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams. Experience with customer-managed deployments is a plus, as is familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices. You are comfortable working in an in-office environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and speed.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you will design and implement the foundational cloud stack that powers Decagon's conversational AI platform. Your responsibilities will include building reliable and scalable networking, compute, and storage solutions while ensuring security and cost efficiency. You will collaborate closely with product and data teams to deliver high-scale, low-latency systems that meet clear service level objectives.

You will also be involved in developing infrastructure-as-code solutions to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability. Your role will require you to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring that the infrastructure supports the rapid growth of Decagon's AI capabilities.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. You will participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of Decagon's infrastructure.
