Who you are

You have a strong background in integrating with verifiable credential issuers and building them, including protocols like VC-DM, JWT-VC, and SD-JWT VC. Your extensive knowledge of web authentication protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, and WebAuthn makes you a valuable asset to the team. You possess strong experience with modern frameworks, particularly React, and have working knowledge of systems programming languages like Rust. A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is part of your qualifications.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers. Your passion for data ownership and privacy drives you to create innovative solutions that prioritize user needs and security. You are adept at gathering requirements, evaluating tradeoffs, and shaping technical solutions that align with project goals.

Desirable

Experience with Svelte is a plus, as it complements your existing skill set. You are familiar with rapid prototyping and iterating on proof-of-concept implementations, showcasing your ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

As a Senior Identity Engineer at DFINITY, you will design and integrate verifiable credential protocols for the Internet Identity platform, focusing on privacy, interoperability, and usability. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and evaluate tradeoffs, ensuring that technical solutions meet the needs of the growing ecosystem of applications on the Internet Computer. Your role will involve rapidly prototyping and iterating on proof-of-concept implementations, allowing you to explore new ideas and technologies.

You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and communication to drive project success. Your expertise in web authentication protocols will be crucial as you contribute to the development of decentralized identity solutions. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers.
