Overview
DigiCert is hiring a PKI Compliance and Automation Engineer to contribute to compliance automation and validate code against industry standards. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes in a remote capacity.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong understanding of PKI compliance engineering and are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. You are familiar with coding and configuration compliance reviews specific to PKI, and you have experience validating code against CA/B Forum BRs, EV Guidelines, and other relevant standards. You are comfortable working with development teams to translate compliance requirements into actionable policy-as-code guardrails. You possess a foundational knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and are keen to integrate compliance checks into these workflows.
You have hands-on experience with tools such as OpenSSL and are familiar with ASN.1 tooling and RFC 5280 path validation test suites. While direct experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus, you are open to mentorship and eager to expand your skill set in these areas. You understand the importance of HSM operations and have a basic familiarity with FIPS 140-2/140-3 standards.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join the Certificate Authority Industry Standards team, where you will assist in compliance automation efforts. You will validate code against various industry standards and support the development of policy-as-code rules under the guidance of senior engineers. Your responsibilities will include integrating compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines and participating in the creation of automated evidence collection for audits. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that compliance requirements are met and that non-compliance is effectively mitigated.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of pre-issuance validators and automated evidence that make non-compliance impossible to ship. Your work will directly impact the security and authenticity of digital interactions for organizations worldwide. You will be part of a team that values mentorship and continuous learning, providing you with the support you need to grow in your career.
What we offer
DigiCert offers generous time off policies and top-shelf benefits, including education, wellness, and lifestyle support. You will be part of a company that is a global leader in intelligent trust, helping organizations protect their digital interactions. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
