You have 12+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on building secure and scalable systems. Your expertise lies at the intersection of AI and security, and you thrive in environments that prioritize developer experience and innovation. You have a proven track record of leading technical direction and mentoring team members, ensuring that best practices are followed in software development.
You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, to define technical solutions that meet user needs. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you an effective point of contact for your team. You are passionate about creating elegant frameworks and APIs that developers love to use, and you understand the importance of rapid iteration in a high-velocity environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define the technical solution for Docker's new product, the MCP Gateway, which empowers developers to connect, observe, and secure AI agents and tools throughout their lifecycle. You will shape the product alongside peers in Product and Design, ensuring that it meets the needs of developers while maintaining high security standards. You will mentor other technical team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
You will be responsible for leading the technical direction of the Gateway and related services, ensuring that they are built with security and developer experience in mind. Your role will involve shipping features quickly and iterating based on user feedback, helping to shape the future of secure agent-based development. You will also be involved in defining best practices for the team and ensuring that the technical solutions align with Docker's overall mission.
