Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering management with a focus on reliability and observability β€” you've successfully led teams of Site Reliability Engineers and understand the intricacies of building scalable and reliable systems. Your experience includes fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring that your team feels supported and empowered to innovate.

You possess deep technical knowledge in observability tools and practices β€” you are familiar with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting, and you have hands-on experience with tools like Terraform and HashiCorp Vault. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration, and you thrive in agile environments where cross-functional teamwork is essential.

You are passionate about mentoring and developing talent β€” you enjoy coaching engineers to help them grow in their careers and improve their technical skills. You understand the importance of psychological safety in the workplace and strive to create an environment where team members can share ideas and take risks.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Observability & Reliability Engineering team, you will lead a group of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for shaping Doctolib's observability strategy. Your mission will be to drive the evolution of the observability platform, ensuring it supports the exponential growth of Doctolib services. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to build innovative products that enhance the daily lives of care teams and patients.

You will oversee the operational management of critical services that enable secure and scalable infrastructure management across the organization. This includes implementing best practices for infrastructure as code using Terraform and managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault. You will also be responsible for creating a culture of operational excellence within your team, focusing on continuous improvement and high performance.

In this role, you will conduct regular one-on-ones with your team members to support their technical development and career progression. You will also be involved in strategic planning, helping to define the long-term vision for observability at Doctolib. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the team remains aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

What we offer

We offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on improving healthcare services. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and lead a talented team of engineers.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement β€” we value diverse perspectives and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve. Join us in building the healthcare we all dream of!
