Who you are
You have a B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering, such as robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science, and bring over 5 years of industry experience working in automotive or mechatronics integration. Your background includes a strong understanding of hardware and software integration, and you are skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during robot assembly and testing.
You are excited about the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, particularly in the field of autonomous delivery robots. Your experience includes writing requirements and tests for complex systems, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. You thrive in a hands-on environment, interacting daily with hardware and software to drive innovation.
What you'll do
As a Manufacturing Integration Engineer at DoorDash Labs, you will play a critical role in enabling and maturing our next-generation autonomous delivery robots. You will own the diagnosis and resolution of new issues arising from robot assembly, testing, and fleet deployment. Your responsibilities will include derisking the integration of new hardware and software onto the robot, as well as developing and maintaining our hardware-in-the-loop workbench for system testing.
You will conduct bring-up and calibration of autonomous vehicle sensors, including radar, camera, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Additionally, you will enable the integration of our next-generation robot vehicle platform, which includes the drivetrain, battery, and vehicle networks. Your role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that our robots meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
