You'll collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure consistency and usability across products. This role requires experience in design systems and accessibility standards.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a Senior Product Designer with a strong focus on iOS design systems — you have a proven track record of influencing design language and ensuring product consistency across platforms. Your experience includes collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and brand designers to create elegant and user-friendly mobile experiences. You understand the importance of accessibility and usability standards, and you are committed to championing these principles in your work.
With a deep understanding of design-to-code handoff processes, you have successfully led initiatives that improve design velocity without compromising on craft. You are passionate about continuous improvement and innovation in design systems practices, and you thrive in environments where you can mentor other designers and contribute to a positive design culture.
Your familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices sets you apart — you believe that great design should be accessible to all users. You are also interested in visual asset systems, including iconography and motion design, which enhances your ability to create cohesive and engaging user experiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the definition, design, and documentation of reusable iOS-focused design system components, patterns, and guidelines. You will collaborate with product designers to ensure consistency across features while meeting platform-specific needs. Your partnership with engineering teams will be crucial as you build, test, and deliver robust design system components that enhance user experience.
You will drive the adoption of the design system through education, governance, and advocacy across cross-functional teams, ensuring that all stakeholders understand and utilize the design principles effectively. Your contributions will directly influence how millions of users experience Dropbox on mobile, making your role highly impactful.
You will also contribute to the design system roadmap, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. Your ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership will provide you with exposure to high-visibility system initiatives, allowing you to showcase your expertise and influence the strategic direction of Dropbox's mobile design language.
What we offer
At Dropbox, you will be part of a collaborative and innovative team that values design excellence and user experience. The company offers a competitive salary range of CAD 160,700 to CAD 217,300, reflecting your skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to work remotely from Canada, providing you with flexibility while being part of a dynamic team.
We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective and skills could be the perfect fit for our team. Join us in shaping the future of Dropbox's mobile design and making a meaningful impact on how users interact with our products.
