You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong focus on design systems and UI components. Your expertise in Figma allows you to create and maintain high-quality design assets that enhance user experiences. You understand the importance of collaboration and are skilled at working with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency across products.
You are a systems thinker who can take ownership of core component libraries, driving their evolution and ensuring they meet the highest standards of usability and craft. Your ability to anticipate user needs and simplify decision-making processes is a key strength that you bring to the team. You are passionate about building trust through honest and transparent design practices.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the design systems at Affirm, focusing on the evolution of core component libraries. You will drive the design, specification, and maintenance of complex UI components, ensuring they are user-friendly and visually appealing. Collaborating closely with product managers and engineers, you will ensure that the design systems are effectively integrated into consumer and merchant products.
You will also be responsible for advocating for design best practices within the team, helping to elevate the overall quality of design work across the organization. Your role will involve conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, as well as iterating on designs based on user feedback. You will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative environment where design and engineering teams work together seamlessly to deliver exceptional user experiences.
